Tiwa savage is a natural singer with sense of passion to show case the dynamic qualities she possessed, which has earned her accolade and support from numerous fans across Africa and United Kingdom. Sings to promote humanity.

Recently she featured in a music show in U.K and was among 24 artistes that were selected from over eighty participants at the carnival. A graduate of Business Administration and another degree in music from Becklee College of Music U.K who is taking over female leader in music industry. She credit her success to fans,”Without their support, it would not have been possible to break those limitations and show the music industry that the new age African woman was here to stay”, Dated back to her time in U.K to becoming an house – hold name globally, she has become first Africa woman to be signed to Roc Nation, and her brand of music has been endorsed by the likes of Pepsi, Pampers and Mega Growth. “Being chosen by Mega Growth to become their Ambassador was really exciting because their core values align with the Tina Savage brand, Both reflect a strong, beautiful and fearless woman which is everything I stand for so the collaboration made complete sense” she remarked.

Speaking further on her goal as an artist, the dark skinned beauty is comfortable to have been named as music icon and role model. She said “ultimately, my goal as an artiste is to show young woman African woman with hard work and belief in yourself there is nothing you cannot achieve, “I am currently being inspired by woman like Opra Winfrey, Avo Dureinay and Shanda Rhines, “there are so many women doing amazing things in the world right now each is breaking barriers and have shartered the glass ceiling for black women.

Speaking on how she was able to come back, said her “My mother has always told me that in this life, God only gives you what you can handle, it was very trying time but God in has infinite mercies gave me the grace to see it through, it only made me strong”.

In October, she released, an album with Wizkid, one of the African finest and collaborator with savage. Savage said “I would say EPs are the new albums, but music is definitely being consumed in a completely different way today than it was when i first started music”.

Tiwa Savage has learnt her voice to the likes of George Michael Mary Blige, Chaka Ichan, Kelly Clarkson, as well written songs for fantasia and Monica, she admits, she is still writing her songs as well as working with Co-writers. In another reaction, she said “I have been quite focused on writing my own music of recent, so I haven’t had more time to write for other artists as much as I used to, but I still co-write especially for my fellow label mates and vice versa. Its definitely something that will like to return when I have more available time in my schedule”. When asked further on writing songs, said her “writing music comes naturally to me, and it is something I do pretty much everyday. I would not say there are any considerations when writing as I write because on life experiences or how I am feeling at the time”. She disclosed.

On whether her music a pioneer of Afro pop for female artists, she said, I believe there is space for everyone in this industry. I’m a strong believer of being true to who you are and finding your own purpose, as we all run our own race in life. There are some incredible females doing wonderful things and I hope to see more of us breaking barriers in music. I also look forward to the day we are referred to as just artists and not female artists”.
